Mars is
coming! I took this image on 08/07/2003 at 6:00 AM with a digital
camera that was hand held. I was using my Celestron NexStar 5i.
|
|
|
This is the same as
above. This was my first attempt in taking a digital image of a
planet with my Sony digital camera. It too was hand held and I was
using afocal technique. The image was processed in Maxln DL and
Photoshop.

|
Mars was taken with
My LX-200 8 inch telescope, SBIG ST-237A at the Mars Party in Columbus,
Texas. This was on 08/17/2003 at approximately 0100 hours. The image
was processed in Photoshop

NEW This was
my first attempt with my Toucam 840 of Saturn. I still have along
way to go, but I am having fun doing it. Taken Rafter M Ranch
03/19/2004 with Celestron NexStar 5, Televue 2.5 Powermate, stacked in
Registax and finished in Photoshop.

|
NEW This was my
second attempt with my Toucam 840 of Jupiter & three of it's
moons. As you can see I am starting to get the hang of it. Taken
at the Girl Scout Camp Conroe 04/01/2004 with a Celestron NexStar 5, stacked
in Registax and finished in Photoshop. (Now to work on some
color......
|
|
NEW Well this was my first

2.5 Powermate. The 90 second image was processed with Registax and
tweaked in Maxln DL and Photoshop. Taken Rafter M Ranch 04/09/2004
|
|
NEW This was a 62 second
exposure with my Toucam 840 with my NexStar 5i with the 2.5
Powermate. Again it was processed and stacked in Registax and
tweaked in Maxln DL and Photoshop. I am starting to get the color
down. Taken Rafter M Ranch 04/09/2004
|
|
NEW This was a 100 second
exposure with my Toucam 840 and has you can see the seeing had diminished.
Again all the processing was the same as above. Taken Rafter M Ranch 04/10/2004.
|
|
This was a 120 second
exposure with my Toucam 840 and you can see the Great Red Spot on the left
side of the planet. All the equipment and processing is the same as
above. Taken Rafter M Ranch 04/10/2004.

|
This is my newest Jupiter Image that I
took with my ToUcam 840 and my LX-200 8" telescope. I had a 2.5
Powermate in front of the ToUcam. This is an 180 second video stacked
in Registax and tweaked in Maxlm DL and Photoshop. It was very windy
tonight at the Rafter M Ranch 04/15/2004.
|
|
I got a
new TOA-130 and an NJP mount and took it outside last night at the Rafter M
Ranch on04/02/2005. After getting the finder scope aligned with the
telescope, I decided to try my luck with the ToUcam 840. This is
Jupiter with only some very, very slight processing in RegStax. I saw
more details on Jupiter tonight than I have ever seen.
|
|
NEWEST:
I took these images with my ToUcam 840 on the night of 10/29/2005 at the
Rafter M Ranch. The seeing was very god this night, and the images
were processed in RegStax. The different color of the plant Mars is
due to the different set-ups I used in the ToUcam capture
program.
