M-34  Mag 5.2, Con Per, Very rich open cluster of stars,  LX-200 8 " telescope, ST-7XE SBIG camera. 10 each 25 second exposures, combined Maxlm DL, processed in Photoshop.

M-42 - Great Orion nebula, mag 4, Con Ori, nebula   LX-200 8 inch, 8 minute guided 35mm

M-42 & M-43  Great Orion Nebula taken at Leakey, Texas on 03/24/2006 through my Takahashi TOA-130 on the NJP mount.  Camera was an SBIG ST-8XE.  Exposure was set as follows:  L= 11 ea. 2 minutes, R= 8 each 2 minutes, G= 8 each 2 minutes, B= 8 each 2 minutes.  All images were combined in MaxIm DL and final processed in Photoshop .

M-51 - Whirlpool Galaxy, 8.1 mag, Con Cvn      Spiral galaxy structure attached companion

    This is a latest attempt on M-51 taken in Leakey, Texas on 03/25/2006.  The seeing was not ver stable this evening, and it kept getting cold and warm.  (Not to mention I got disconnected from the electricity for awhile and didn't know it.  The image consist of L = 10 each 300 seconds exposures,  R = 6 each 300 seconds exposures, G = 6 each 300 second exposures, & B = 6 each 300 seconds exposures.  The imaged for first processed in MaxIn DL and final processing in Photoshop.

M-71 - mag 9, Con Agr, Globular cluster highly resolved.  This was my first successful attempt of auto guiding with my ST-7XE.  This is a combined image of 8 images that were 30 second each.  It was then processed with CCDSoft and Photoshop 6.     (08/18/02)

Reprocessed:  The ole master Randy Brewer came to the RV this morning 05/04/2005 and gave me a lesson on how to process the data that I had.  As you can see the difference between this one and the one below.

L: 1 minute, R: 45 sec, G: 45 sec, B: 45 sec.  Taken in CCDSoft and processed in Photoshop.

NEWEST  This is a combined five minute image of the Sombrero Galaxy.  The image was take with the TOA 130 and ST 7XE.  It is as follows:  L=5 minutes 5 ea. combined in Maxln DL and some light processing in photoshop.

NEWESTThis is my newest attempt on the Sombrero Galaxy.  This was taken with my TOA 130 and my ST-7XE at the Texas Star Party 2005.  The image is made up of L=2:00 minutes 10 ea., R=90 sec. 5 ea. , B=90 sec. 5 ea., G=90 sec 5 ea.   The image was processed in Maxln DL and finished in photoshop.
