Other description: Globular cluster highly resolved.
Constellation: Sco
Dreyer description: Cluster, 8 or 10 bright stars line, with 5 stars, well resolved; = M4.
Magnitude: 5.9  Equipment LX-200 8", A-07, ST-7XE, L-10 ea 45 sec, R=6 ea 45 sec, G=45 sec. B=6 ea. 45 sec.  Combined in Maxlm DL,& minor processing in Photoshop.  Taken: HAS Columbus 06/22/03

 This is a Luminous only of M-4 that was take at the TSP on Wednesday night 05/04/05 before the fog set in.  This is 10 ea 1 minute exposures combined in Maxln, and some processing in Photoshop.

 This is M5 that was taken at TSP on 05/05/2005.  The equipment was a TOA 130 on an NJP mount, with L=10ea 1 minute, R= 5 each. 50 seconds, G=5 ea 50 seconds, and B=5 ea 1 minute.  They were processed in Maxlm DL, and finished up in photoshope.  At 2:40 am the FOG rolled in and the night was over.

Constellation: Ser
Dreyer description: Very remarkable!, globular cluster, very bright, large, extremely compressed middle, stars of magnitude 11 to 15; = M5.
Magnitude: 5.8  Equipment LX-200 8", AO7, ST-7XE,  L=10 ea. 30 sec, R=6 ea. 30 sec, G=6 ea. 30 sec, B=6 ea. 35 sec.  Taken Texas Star Party 04/29/2003

LATEST ATTEMPT:  M-5 was taken at Leakey, Texas on 03/24/2005 using my Takahashi TOA-130 at F/7.6.  The camera was an SBIG ST-8XE with the exposures set at L=10 each 2 minutes, R=6 each 2 minutes, G=6 each 2 minutes, B=6each 2 minutes.  All images were combined and aligned in MaxIm DL and final processing in Photoshop.

Dreyer description: Very remarkable! Globular cluster, very bright, very large, irregularly round, gradually much brighter middle, well resolved, stars of magnitude 10 and fainter; = M12.
Magnitude: 6.6  Equipment LX-200 8", AO7, ST-7XE.  L=3 ea. 20 min images combined. Taken Texas Star Party  05/03/2003

Magnitude: 7.2   Equipment LX-200 8", A-07, ST-7XE, L-10 ea 45 sec, dark subtracted.  Combined in Maxlm DL,& minor processing in Photoshop.  Taken: HAS Columbus 06/22/03

M-27 Dumbbell Nebula , mag 8, Con Vul.  This is my second attempt  with my ST-7XE SBIG camera of autoguiding.  The image is a total of 14 combined images of 25 seconds.  The image is processed in CCDSoft, and Photoshop 6.0        (08/18/02)
