M-83 is a very nice Spiral Galaxy that I imaged on April 5, 2008. This image consist of 12 ea 5 minutes luminous, 4 ea 5 minutes RGB. The image was captured with MaxIm DL were it was combined, hot and cold pixel removed, and then the final processing was done in Photo Shop. |

M-3 is a very nice Globular Cluster that I imaged on April 3, 2008 at Leakey, Texas. The weather was not very good that night with high clouds so I had to find something bright to image. This image consist of 10 ea 5 minutes luminous, 4 ea 5 minutes RGB. The image was captured with MaxIm DL were it was combined, hot and cold pixel removed, and then the final processing was done in Photo Shop. |

IC-434 The Horsehead Nebula has always been one of my favorite. I wasn't placed well for imaging but I chased it on the down side until it set at Leakey, Texas on April 4, 2008. This is my first attempt to image it and I will redo it next year. This image consist of 12 ea 5 minutes luminous, 4 ea 5 minutes RGB. NGC 3628, M-65, & M-66 were captured in one frame in Leakey, Texas on April 5, 2008. I had a lot of fun with this one. I had my focal reducer on making my TOA-130 5.7/F. The image consist of 14 ea 5 minutes luminous, 4 ea 5 minutes RGB. It was captured using MaxIm DL were it was combined, hot and cold pixel removed, and then the final processing was done in Photo Shop. |

NGC 3587 or M-97 the Owl Nebula. This is a planetary Nebula that I imaged out in Leakey, Texas on the "Chicken Killer" trip April 4, 2008. I used my TOA-130, and the SBIG ST-8 to obtain this image. This image consist of 12 ea 5 minutes luminous, 4 ea 5 minutes RGB. The image was captured with MaxIm DL were it was combined, hot and cold pixel removed, and then the final processing was done in Photo Shop. |

Comet 17P/Holmes was imaged on my last night at Leakey, Texas. The clouds were rolling in and imaging was tuff Saturday night. If you look close it looks like a small piece has broken off at 7 o'clock on the comet. |

Comet 17P/Holmes was imaged on November 9, 2007 in Leakey, Texas. This is 15 each 1 minutes luminous images, 5 each 1 minutes RGB. I was surprised on just how big the comet was and being able to see it with the unaided eye. |

NGC 891 is a spiral galaxy in Andromeda that is 30 light years from the sun. This image was taken in Leakey, Texas on November 11, 2007. It was taken with my TOA-130 and SBIG ST-8. The Helix Nebula located in the constellation Aquarius is believed to be the closest planetary nebula to us, it's a mere 300-500 light years away. On September 15, 2007 while at the HAS site and fighting heavy dew, I was able to image the Helix Nebula with my TOA - 130 and ST - 8. This image consist of 13 each five minute luminous, 4 each 5 minutes RGB. The images was obtained with MaxIm DL where it was combined, hot and cold pixels removed, and final processed in Photo Shop. |

September 15, 2007 I was at the H.A. S. site in Columbus, Texas for our annual picnic. We had a great turn out of around 98 members of all four astronomy clubs located here in Houston. I images M-20 "Trifid Nebula which is located in the constellation Sagittarius. This is a rich field of the Milky Way with M-21 & M-8 visible in your binoculars field of view. This image consist of 15 each 5 minutes luminous, 4 each 5 minutes RGB. The images was obtained in MaxIm DL and final processing in Photo Shop. |

Early morning August 16,2007 I imaged M-33 "The Pinwheel Galaxy" located in Traingulum. This image consist of 1:30 hour of luminous, 20 minutes each RGB. The telescope and processing were the same as listed below. |

August 15, 2005 was our BEST night at Fort Davis. I have always wanted to image M-8 "Lagoon Nebula located in Sagittarius. This image consist of 1:35 minutes of luminous, 20 minutes each of RGB. The telescope was my TOA-130 at F/5.6, with my ST-8 camera. The image was obtained in MaxIm DL and final processed in Photoshop. |

August 14, 2007 the high clouds started to roll into Fort Davis, Texas. I was able to find this target M-52 and The Bubble Nebula (NGC-7635) located in Cassiopeia. The TOA-130 was set at F/5.6 with a focal reducer for a wider field of view. The image consist of 12 each luminous, with 4 each RGB all taken at 5 minutes. The images was obtained in MaxIm DL with normal processing. I then moved the images to Photoshop for the final processing. |

The sky started to get soft on the early morning of August 14, 2007 in Fort Davis, Texas when I imaged NGC-6979 in Cygnus. I was using my TOA-130 with a focal reducer at F/5.6. This image is 17 each 5 minutes luminous, with 4 each RGB for the color. The images was obtained in MaxIm DL with normal processing. I then moved the image to Photoshop for the final processing. |

August 13, 2007 in Fort Davis, Texas I imaged NGC-7000 "North American Nebula" located in Cygnus. Even with the focal reducer mounted on the TOA-130 /F5.6 and the SBIG ST-8 I was only able to get part of it. This image consist of 17 each 5 minute luminous, 4 each 5 minute RGB. The images were obtained in MaxIm DL with normal processing there. I then finished final processing in Photoshop. (At the same time I was doing this image I had my Canon Rebel Camera on top of the telescope and photographed the entire region.) |

On the early even of August 5, 2007 I imaged NGC-6888 the Crescent Nebula at the Rafter M Ranch. This image is 12 ea. 5 minute luminous, 3 ea. 5 minute RGB. I obtained the images in MaxIm DL where I started the processing, and finished the combining and image processing in Photoshop. The equipment was a TOA-130, SBIG ST-8, with Astrodon Filters. |

August 6, 2007 I tried to re-image M-31 & M-32. The moon had risen and the scope was pointed just above it. The image consist of 10 ea. 5 minute luminous, 3 ea. 5 minute RGB. I obtained the images in MaxIm DL where I started the processing, and finished the combining and image processing in Photoshop. The equipment was a TOA-130, SBIG ST-8, with Astrodon Filters. |

August 5, 2007 I had a group of Cub Scouts out at the Rafter M Ranch. One of the objects they saw this even was M-27. After they left I imaged it with my TOA 130 and SBIG ST-8. The image is 12 each 5 minutes L, with just a touch of color before the moon came out this evening. |

This image was taken at TSP 2007. It started out to be the Trio in Leo, BUT if forgot my focal reducer and only got M-66 and M-65. (Where is the hamburger?) The image was a combination of 13 Luminous, 4 RGB 5 minutes each, obtained with MaxIm DL, and finished in Photoshop. |
| January 2, 2007 I tried it again at the Rafter M Ranch. I started to shoot M-31 & M-32, but the clouds got me. I kept loosing my guide star and ended up throwing away 7 of my Lum. This is 6 300 seconds Lum combined in MaxIm DL. I will try this one again soon. | |

Earlier on January 1, 2007 I pointed to M-42 & M-43 area and took this image. This image consist of 12 each 60 seconds L and 4 each 60 seconds RGB. I had my focal reducer attached making the TOA 130 F/5.6. The image were then combined and processed in MaxIm DL and finished up in Photo Shop. |

On January 1, 2007 I went outside with almost a full moon and set up my TOA-130 set at F/ 5.6. This image consist of 10 each 300 seconds L and 4 each 300 RGB. There was a lot of frost this evening so I had crop the image to get rid of the dew on the outer edges of the image. As you can see there is a lot of sky glow from the almost full moon. The images were combined in MaxIm DL and finished processing in Photo Shop. |

M-81 & M-82 Taken at the Rafter M Ranch 05/21/2006. This was a poor night for imaging with clouds rolling in and out. This was taken with my TOA 130, ST-8XE camera and combined and some processing in MaxIm DL. The image was then finished in Photoshop. This is M-5 Globular Cluster also taken on 03/24/2006 at Leakey, Texas using my Takahashi TOA-130 at F/7.6. The camera was an SBIG ST-8XE with the exposures set at L=10 each 2 minutes, R=6 each 2 minutes, G=6 each 2 minutes, B=6each 2 minutes. All images were combined and aligned in MaxIm DL and final processing in Photoshop. |

This is M-51 that was taken on 03/25/2006 at Leakey, Texas. I used the same equipment that is listed below, but as you can see the seeing was not very stable this night. I would get hot and the cool, not to mention i got disconnected from the electricity and had to start all over once. The image is made up of L=10 ea 300 seconds, R=6 each 300 sec, G = 6 each 300 seconds, and B = 5 each 300 seconds. All Images were combined, stacked, processed in MaxIn DL . The final image was then processed in Photoshop. This one will have to be redone at a latter date that the sky is more stable. |

This is a latest attempt of the Orion Nebula M-42 with M-43 next to it. This was taken in Leakey, Texas on 03/24/2006 with my TOA-130 using my SBIG ST-8XE. Exposure was set as follows: L= 11 ea. 2 minutes, R= 8 each 2 minutes, G= 8 each 2 minutes, B= 8 each 2 minutes. All images were combined in MaxIm DL and final processed in Photoshop . |

This is a grayscale only image of NGC-6992. It is made up of 10 each 5 minute exposures that was taken at the H.A.S. Columbus, Tx site on 08/13/2005. I used my TOA-130n SBIG ST-8XE CCD camera. The clouds came in around 12:15 and I could not complete the RGB. |

This was one of M-104 that we shot through the clouds that were going in and out of our image field. It was my first one that I tried to take that night and we had a lot of high clouds. The image is L= 10ea 240 second combined and processed in MaxIm DL and some processing in Photoshop. Not a very good image, but it was part of the learning curve. |

This is a grayscale only image of M-8 "Lagoon Nebula". I was unable to get the color due to the clouds moving in at 4:30 AM. It is located in the constellation Sagittarius and is well placed for viewing at this time. This image was taken on 06/12/2005 at the Rafter M Ranch in Hockley, TX. The equipment was my TOA-130, NJP mount, and the SBIG ST-8XE CCD camera. The image consist of 10 each 240 secons images combined in MaxLn DL with some light stretching.
